Eleanor can be experienced in two ways - as an
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE on the streets of Norwich, and
AT HOME with your feet up and a cup of tea.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE
You are going on a mystery walk around Norwich to find Eleanor Talbot, daughter of John Talbot, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury.
Eleanor is an augmented reality sound walk that starts at the foot of Norwich Castle Museum on Castle Meadow. The walk takes approximately 60 minutes guiding you through old medieval Norwich. The route directs you across mostly flat areas with some uneven surfaces, cobbles and curbs. Half way along the route is Jarrold Bridge, which is not accessible for wheelchair users (there are steps up to the bridge). You can still undertake the experience
by following the 'blue route' until it re-joins the 'red route'. Also the alleyway from Tombland to Princes Street is not accessible for wheelchair users - join the short 'blue route' here until it rejoins the 'red route'.
Please read the how to and safety guidelines before setting out.
There is no app to download, just
tap here to start the adventure. This experience will work on smartphones and tablets with a cellular connection. Listen to the 'Instructional Voice' at the beginning (and sometimes end) of each chapter, for notes on the route and where to find things. As well as the voice of Eleanor, you will also hear the voice of the author, Imogen Hermes Gowar.
Tap on the red pins to listen to the audio, and the blue pins to view the augmented reality (AR). The AR is geo-located and can only be viewed when you are in the location of the blue pins. Will you find the Talbot Dog?

Please be aware of traffic and other moving vehicles while using your phone. You will encounter several busy roads along the route.

'At Home' on the top menu bar.
The content works on mobile phones, tablets and desktop computers. This can also be done as a group shared experience by plugging the device into a large monitor or smart TV.
